Eaton's Aerospace Group, Fluid and Electrical Distribution (FED) Division is seeking a Director of Finance. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, Aerospace Group and functionally to the Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division (FED), the Director of Finance will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for leading the global finance organization for FED. This includes providing business partnership and strategic, analytical, and tactical financial leadership to maximize profitable growth and support the larger strategic initiatives. Further, the Director of Finance will be responsible for internal controls, financial planning & analysis, and program/product line support. You will have financial P&L and cash flow responsibility for a ~$1B sales organization and will drive process improvements within, all in an effort to increase efficiency and transparency of results. In addition, this position is responsible for building organizational capability within the Finance function and support the finance transformation initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide financial leadership and business advisory services to ensure the Division achieves its financial goals - sales, income, and free cash flow
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives with a growth mindset
  • Focus on operational excellence - Plant performance, productivity, inventory management
  • Lead critical processes including reporting and analyzing monthly actual results, forecasts, profit plan and strategic plan. Ensure that business is meeting financial targets over both short and long-term horizons.
  • Proactively identify financial risks and develop mitigation plans to protect Eaton's assets & interests.
  • Manage financial performance of the division and communicate to the FED leadership team through operating cadences. Focus on performance to goals and identify areas for improvement and concern.
  • Manage forecast accuracy and communicate proactively; mitigate risk
  • Build organizational capability within the Finance function across FED. Ensure that top talent is hired and retained. Provide training opportunities for finance employees and give continuous feedback and coaching to aid in the development of talent.
  • Direct activities to comply with US Government accounting standards and regulations, as well as maximize opportunities to optimize pricing and recover costs under DoD negotiated contracts.
  • Perform financial analysis as required to support business decisions regarding acquisitions, divestitures, plant closings, make vs. buy decisions, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost out activities for FED, including the Finance function.
  • Leads functional due diligence on all M&A activities

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years' of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing organization
  • Must be able to work on an on-going basis without requiring company sponsorship - This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports.
• Broad general business knowledge.
• Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems.
• General knowledge of all functional areas of the Group, Sector and Corporate organizations.
• Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices followed by Operations personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred
  • Previous experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Global leadership experience

The expected annual salary range for this role is $176249.97 - $258499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
