Eaton is hiring a DevOps IT Engineer, AI. This role can be located at any Eaton U.S location and 25% travel is required. As an experienced engineer, you know that AI and machine learning are critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support our clients' challenges. As a machine learning engineer on our team, you'll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data. Build and refine the algorithms that make our technology smarter and more intuitive. In today's landscape, their role is crucial-without them, the cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions we rely on daily wouldn't exist. In this role, you'll own and define the direction of high impact solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. In this role, you'll deliver world class solutions to solve focused problems.

What you'll do:

• Design and develop machine learning models and algorithms, create and refine models tailored to our company's needs, ensuring effectiveness and innovation.
• Support large datasets, data preprocessing and feature engineering, optimizing features for better model performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (data scientists, software engineers) for model integration
• work with data scientists and software engineers to integrate models seamlessly into your systems.
• Deploying models to production environments and ensuring scalability:
• Monitoring the performance of cloud systems and adjusting as necessary.
• They will manage model deployment, ensuring it scales and meets increasing demands.
• Monitoring model performance and conducting regular evaluations:
• Track and evaluate model performance, adjusting to maintain accuracy and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with artificial intelligence data science, machine learning engineering, or data analytics.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with implementing, testing, and fielding automation artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with software and artificial intelligence projects.
• Experience with a programming language, including Python, Scala, or Java
• Experience with project work in deep learning, computer vision, NLP, or signal processing.
• Experience with using AI and ML frameworks.
• Knowledge of modern software design patterns
• Experience in embedded systems programming in C, C++, or Rust
• Experience with GPU programming, such as CUDA or RAPIDs
• Experience with modern cloud computing technologies, including Docker.
• Experience with deploying applications in a Cloud environment, including AWS or AzureAbility to gather requirements from customers and lead Agile teams.

At Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent. This includes competitive pay and a variety of benefit programs for eligible employees. The expected annual salary range for this role is $155,00-$225,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
