We are seeking experienced DC Installation & Commissioning Senior Field Service Engineer (PQ) to join our team in Dubai.

What you'll do:

To act as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) within local Country Service Unit, Cluster Service and EMEA level if required, mainly working in large data center projects. Provide a first class service for the Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty. Responsible for installation, commissioning, fault finding and repairs. Offer support to the extended EMEA Service community through high level technical knowledge and experience in the field.

The key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing Data centre commissioning, on behalf of Eaton Field Service in local service unit & as well as within the cluster or it EMEA level, if required
  • Provide the highest level of technical expertise in all Hyperscale commissioning activities.
  • Support and train Local Field Service Engineers in such activities
  • Onboard, coach and mentor new Field Service Engineers that join Eaton
  • Manage key account technical escalations providing support including site visits, to engineers and customers alike, drive escalations to conclusion and provide feedback where necessary.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting on selection of suitable engineers, carry out site visits as required.
  • Assist Project Management Organization with support of high profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required.
  • Maintain direct links with business units (factories) and act as focal point for all technical exchange regarding the commissioning procedures and testing
  • Manage sub contractor teams were required
  • Perform Health & Safety audits of Field Service Engineer and subcontractors ensuring the high standards required by EATON are maintained.
  • Any other adhoc duties in line with role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor / Master Electrical Engineering Degree and/or Equivalent Industry experience
  • Installer electrical background
  • +7 years of working with UPS, experience in Data Centers

Skills:

  • Three phase electrical installation and commissioning experience essential.
  • Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP is an advantage.
  • Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control) is an advantage
  • Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution
  • Communication skills / Customer Focus / Flexibility / Be able to work together with different cultures / Able to follow instructions
  • High mobility within the hiring cluster and EMEA level, if requested
