Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Cyber Security Architect. This role is REMOTE!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $115,499 - $169,399 a year.

What you'll do:

The Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Cybersecurity Architect will be the lead subject matter expert in driving security initiative in Eaton's CPS division product solutions. This position will work with the Product Cybersecurity Working Group to ensure close coordination and compatibility of efforts to drive security strategies in Eaton.

In this role you will:

  • Drive Secure Development Lifecycle process across CPS engineering projects.
  • Advises and performs highly complex research, design and development of cybersecurity features, platforms, solutions to help secure Eaton end to end digital solution.
  • Generally, serves as a CPS' cybersecurity expert, providing leadership with broad based technical direction and guidance to the division.
  • Help develop, coordinates and execute policies, methods and procedures that cut across the division for specific functional areas in cybersecurity.
  • Work with product cybersecurity CoE and platform teams across Eaton to identify and design technical security architectures, solutions, and controls specifically on cloud-based solutions.
  • Work with technical leads in various teams and oversee critical aspects of the software, firmware and hardware cybersecurity designs and implementations.
  • Ensure that the implementation of cybersecurity aspects of our products and solutions are sound and that can scale to meet our customers' need.
  • Lead verification efforts for cybersecurity implementation across the division
  • Evangelize and provide technical security trainings to software developers and test engineers across the division.
  • Lead Eaton efforts in participating in industry technical cybersecurity standard and regulations discussions and reviews.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum (7) seven years' experience in all phases of Secure Product Development Lifecycle including: identifying security requirements, architecting, conducting architecture reviews and threat modeling
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Must currently reside within the United States and must work out of a United States remote location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in framing security policies
  • Experience driving and implementing SecDevOps best practices and principles at divisional or sector level
  • Experience analyzing static code analysis reports and CVE in Open-Source library and providing recommendation to developers
  • Broad understanding of cybersecurity architecture, controls, and programming
  • Experience with incorporating hardware-based security techniques (e.g., HSM, TPM, ARM TrustZone, Secure Boot, etc.)
  • Track record of architecting and building security solutions for IoT & cloud-based systems
  • Strong understanding of Cryptographic algorithms, security protocols (HTTPS, HSTS, TLS, SSH, Kerberos, 802.11 security, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee) and how they can be applied to industrial automation protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3,ICCP, Modbus, Wireless HART, CAN)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity standards and regulations (e.g.: NERC-CIP, IEC 62351, IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, UL 2900)
