Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. This role can sit remotely just must be within a 50 mile radius to any major airport in the United States such as: Chicago, Atlanta, Michigan.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Primary Function:
As the Continuous Improvement Manager at Eaton, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the enterprise-wide standard Continuous Improvement program. Your responsibilities will include cultivating a problem-solving culture, driving the Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS), and collaborating with business leaders to execute the strategy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy a problem-solving culture and capabilities
- Partner with business leaders to implement the Continuous Improvement strategy
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement through management system elements like Daily accountability, leader Gemba Walks, and Leader Standard Work
- Serve as a Problem-Solving Sensei to CI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
- Drive performance improvement in focus plants and those with High Severity Quality Escapes
- Lead the deployment of Problem-Solving Culture initiatives, including Problem Solving Kaizens and Six Sigma projects
- Develop ECIS OpA criteria and educate Problem Solving / Six Sigma trainers and Mentors
Essential Functions:
Drive Enterprise-wide Problem-Solving Culture and Strategy
• Partner and influence business Operations CI director / Master Black Belts/CI Managers to institutionalize a model for executing the Problem Solving / Six Sigma strategy including:
o Drive problem solving culture in corporate functional organization and build CI capability in functional organization
o Drive Problem Solving Kaizens (A3) and Six Sigma Yellow Belt at every level of the organization to institutionalize Problem Solving as part of organization DNA.
• Identify organization wide need of Six Sigma experts, Develop skill assessment to establish the baseline and drive this development with annual strategy.
Training and Developments
• Collaborate with other Master Black Belts/Black Belts/CI Directors/Experts and develop/modify training materials
• Educate and direct the learning of Eaton Problem Solving / Six Sigma professionals as well as other Eaton executives, senior leaders and managers in the specifics of Problem Solving / Six Sigma, focusing on DMAIC principles. This individual will serve and act as a "Sensei" to other Problem Solving / Six Sigma professionals.
• Support development of ECIS-Self Assessment Criteria.
• Directly support the educational activities and initiatives of ECIS such as plant manager training, executive leadership training, Strategy Deployment, Variation Reduction Kaizens (VRKs), Problem Solving Kaizens, and others.
• Own the development of ECIS tools, processes and standards and support deployment through Business CI leaders
• Regularly review and enhance Problem Solving / Six Sigma training courses delivered to employees, managers, senior leaders and executives to ensure training content quality, accuracy, currency, and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, business, or related field
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience leading manufacturing operations and / or Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma program and related disciplines on a global scale.
• Certified and Active Six Sigma Belt
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of a major airport in the United States such as Chicago, Atlanta, Michigan to be considered.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred:
• Master's Degree
• Six Sigma Master Black Belt
• Demonstrated track record of success in areas of Lean and Six Sigma, with an emphasis on Problem Solving
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor others in the Problem Solving and methodology
• Excellent Instructor and influence skills to enable visible and collaborative leadership
• Ability to lead effectively and drive alignment across a complex global matrixed environment
Additional Information:
This role requires 50% travel.
