The Continuous Improvement (CI) Project Manager will provide leadership and support to the MVP-Division by driving applicable Eaton Business System tools including Strategy Deployment (EBS Pull), Operations Assessment (OpA), Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) to invigorate the continuous improvement culture throughout our businesses. This critical role will partner with sites and businesses to identify, recommend, and implement solutions to unique situations or problems.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites, identifying and implementing best practices.
  • Manage and execute strategic projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot critical business issues - Analyse and improve manufacturing, functional and business processes using Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools, real-time problem-solving techniques and other statistical and quality improvement tools
  • Drive improvements at trouble or focus sites and ensure improvements are sustainable
  • Lead and/or facilitate Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) projects, Eaton Business System (EBS) strategy deployment, Operations Assessment (OpA) and deploy ELSS through tactical activities and facilitation of kaizen events at identified sites
  • Develop ELSS / CI deployment procedures, policies and systems and own sharing of best practices across the division
  • Support development of site/business ELSS knowledge, coach and grow regional talent on Continuous Improvement (CI) competencies
  • Lead development and certification process of a CI training program
  • Support key business segment's cost effectiveness projects and actions, product cost reduction initiatives and ensure achievement of business benefits determined in each project • Lead, facilitate, coach, support Needle Mover projects, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects, including non-Cost-out CI projects and special or turn-around CI projects
  • Follow-up the development and improvement of process and system to enhance and sustain process capability and reliability
  • Initiate operating principles that focus on process standardization, visual factory, flow focus, Daily Accountability and Tier meetings, etc.
  • Mentor and support candidates of Lean/Six Sigma Certification programs throughout the certification process.
  • Prepare and conduct ELSS related training for sites/functions and develop on-site ELSS knowledge, talent and competency to support business needs
  • Support the site ELSS /CIF assessment and calibrate for Opportunities for Advancement (OFA)
  • Support sites in the development and deployment of their Industry 4.0 strategy
  • Develop and execute lean manufacturing projects, reducing waste and improving operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, project management, or continuous improvement roles.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and other CI methodologies.
• Proven track record in driving process improvements and leading change initiatives.
• Experience in medium voltage power distribution or related industries is a plus.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel between manufacturing sites as needed.
