Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:

We offer you manufacturing and testing engineering trainee tasks at our new Eaton Factory in Finland. You will work in Manufacturing CI Team projects and processes. Work includes Engineering activities for electrical devices and systems related to manufacturing and testing of UPS products. This Intern-role gives you good overview for Eaton products and engineering tasks. You will learn technical details and functions of electrical switchgears as well as monitoring and safety systems.

We search a summer trainee to work as a part of CI (Continuous Improvement) organization / Improve availability of CI and Lean material archives by utilizing available digital solutions. The project assignment takes about half of your worktime. Other assignments will be related to small scale CI projects or support for the on-going initiatives. We offer the possibility to work with highly skilled professionals and learn from them.

Qualifications:

  • Currently studying Industrial Engineering or other technical fields (preferred)
  • Interest in Continuous Improvement, Lean methods, and learning in an industrial environment
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as well
  • Strong soft skills, including clear and concise written and oral communication in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience with creating digital experiences and interfaces (considered an advantage)
