What you'll do:
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer ensures that all components of the manufacturing process, from supply chain to assembly line operations and beyond, are best optimized for maximum productivity, quality, and efficiency. Supports deployment of CI strategy and transformation plan to cultivate the plant's CI culture. Train employees at various levels to effectively use all ELSS tools and collaborate with the Cross Functional Teams to encourage and engage employees in fostering a CI mindset.
A. CI Planning:
- Support the creation and implementation of the CI strategy and transformation plan customized to meet the site's specific needs.
- Assist the CI Manager in developing the Annual Operations Plan for the plant.

B. Support in ECIS Tool Deployment at ELX PH:
- Deploy applicable ECIS tools to achieve plant goals and objectives.
- Support the annual VSM event and guide Value Stream owners to achieve improvement actions.
- Assist in driving transactional projects through BPI to enhance business processes.
- Support the deployment of Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) elements.
C. Support in driving plant cost out plan, assist in facilitating IDB workshop when necessary, building up project pipeline and drive execution.
D. Assist in the EBS PULL workshop to identify Needle Mover Projects for the plant, coordinate with the project owners to monitor progress and ensure achievement of target goals.
E. Support in analyzing cell and manufacturing layout, capacity, and line balancing, and facilitate improvements to enhance productivity.
F. Facilitate active participation in CI communication (e.g., Newsletter, Yammer, Best Practice Sharing) to promote CI culture and strive for operational excellence through CI approach.
G. Gain a thorough understanding of the operational system maturity roadmap to support reaching maturity level targets.
H. Understand and coordinate OpA and ECIS assessments with a focus on ELSS and CIF deployment maturity. Track actions and follow up on execution and effectiveness checks for the site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- More than 5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement position
- Practical, hands-on knowledge, experiences in CI, i.e. Lean and Six Sigma, and/ or IE experience in design and development of semi-automated and automated assembly lines including equipment and fixtures
- Good knowledge and command of SPC and other key process engineering disciplines including operation process, product, material and information flow
- Ability to manage projects from concept to completion including budget and resource management.
- Ability to coach the technical staff and help in problem solving to achieve quality, delivery and cost objectives.
- Good communication and internal coordination skills, with a can-do attitude and a passion for success
- Has prior knowledge and experience in SAP is an advantage.
