Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced and skilled senior data engineer to join our Connected Delivery platform team. This platform is responsible for enabling discovery, download and install of all the Autodesk products, services and third-part apps. You'll be a part of a team responsible for building a full stack application which is resilient scalable and highly available.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will perform deep data mining and statistical behavioral analysis of Autodesk's customer data, while partnering with internal business stakeholders to refine key success measures and find insights to drive program efficiency. The end goal is to transform business decisions and processes with actionable customer insights gained from meaningful research, analysis, exper mentation and measurement of the Autodesk

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale data infrastructure that supports batch and real-time data processing of large datasets.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient ETL processes.Implement and maintain cloud-based data architectures, leveraging platforms like AWS, Snowflake, and Spark.
- Automate cloud infrastructure, services, and observability to improve system reliability and scalability.Develop CI/CD pipelines and testing automation for data workflows.
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and promote best practices.Perform data analysis and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Looker and Power BI to drive business insights.
- Optimize query performance and data models for analytics and reporting.Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across data platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience in big data systems, data engineering, and data processing.
- 3+ years of experience working with Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL, or Spark DataFrames).
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and analytical big data warehouses like Hive and Snowflake.
- Hands-on programming experience with Python and SQL.Familiarity with ETL workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Experience working with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins CI or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex problems into technical solutions.
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools like Looker or Power BI.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend development with Java, Kotlin, or Spring Boot.Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, or micro-front-end platforms is a plus.
- Strong experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM).Experience with Adobe Analytics, Alteryx, or other analytics tools is a plus.
Good to have:
1. Strong experience and understanding of working on Agile processes like SCRUM.
2. Strong communication skills, and ability to influence without authority
3. Good relative experience in front end web development
• Experience in programming languages like Java, JavaScript and React JS.
• Development of User interfaced using micro-front-end platform
4. Good relative experience in back-end web development along with data analytics skills.
• Experience with Java/ Kotlin, Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs using Micro-services architecture
• Knowledge of cloud-based API platforms or backend systems
• Knowledge of AWS, databases, and cloud architectures

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $86,600 and $127,050. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
