We are recruiting an Accounting Team Leader.
What you'll do:
Lead the General Ledger Team to meet obligations, improve and standardize accounting processes, and build a capable team. Interact with Business Finance leaders to provide leadership on compliance, finance transactions, statutory accounting/audits, and tax accounting. Support process improvement projects and ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a strong accounting team.
- Lead month-end close and daily activities.
- Partner with Africa Operations on business strategy and execution.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with Eaton financial policies, US GAAP, local regulations, internal control, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Manage and improve financial controls and processes.
- Perform analyses to support complex decisions.
- Provide metrics/reports for process controls and manage multiple projects.
- Act as a liaison with other functions.
- Ensure ethical standards and uniformity of financial systems.
- Supervise statutory books and audits.
- Support tax calculations and audits.
- Conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification required; accounting degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Practical knowledge of corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
Skills:
- Solid GL knowledge and proven experience
- Effective communication and people skills.
