Eaton Corporate Sector is currently looking for a Accounting and Controls Supervisor - Netherlands and Belgium to join the team.
What you'll do:
The Accounting and Controls Supervisor - Netherlands and Belgium will provide leadership of the Accounting function for all Netherlands and Belgium sites. Ensuring accuracy of US GAAP and local GAAP numbers, and that all compliance requirements are met. This role will have a strong focus on the standardization and optimization of financial processes within the zone, rolling out strategic initiatives and working closely with the Controllership (incl. Global Financial Services & Systems, Global Financial Accounting, Specialized Accounting Solutions) and COEs to put in place the optimal structures to drive efficiencies.

• Principal responsibility for all closing, accounting, and reporting for all Netherlands and Belgium sites, ensuring each close is completed accurately and in line with operational reporting timetables
• Ensure control environment. Adherence to all Eaton Policies, US GAAP, SOX and local statutory/tax compliance requirements must be maintained
• Statutory reporting and administration where applicable. May require to act as corporate representative on statutory boards of directors, or on management or supervisory boards
• Partner with Operations to help execute business strategies, develop a detailed understanding of the operational activities and build business acumen
• Support all strategic projects within the region such as tax, restructuring, M&A activities, payroll, system implementations and other ad-hoc projects
• Drive optimization through standardization, simplification and automation of financial processes within the zone, working closely with Controllership, the COEs and Operations to build out and achieve the most efficient and effective organization
• Support business & accounting and controls processes improvements and transitions
• Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, provide guidance and development, foster a collaborate high performance work environment
• Meet budgeted costs and run a cost effective organization
• Support all statutory, tax, customs and internal audits
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance, Master's Degree (professional qualification) is preferred
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance
Skills:
- Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment
- Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP desirable
- Fluent in business English; one or more local country language fluency desirable"
