About the role...

Duolingo Creative Producers are the hinge on which projects swing from idea to reality.

This role reports to a Senior Creative Producer or Studio Ops Manager as a member of the Design department: the instrumental creative partner in most projects at Duolingo. At Duolingo we take pride in, and agonize over, crafting a user-friendly (and fun) experience for everyone—from those that go directly into our mobile app, to ones that shape our brand voice and identity.

You will join a team of Creative Producers who bring projects to life for illustrators, animators, and designers. You will be responsible for delivering excellent work efficiently and consistently: distilling creative & product challenges into plans, creating the space for teams to ideate and explore, organizing and shepherding teams through the stages of production, and keeping everyone informed and aligned along the way.

  You will...

  • Collaborate with creative teams (Creative Directors, Animators, Experiential Designers, Product Designers) to align on project scope & approach—resources, deliverables, timelines, etc.
  • Work with cross-functional partners (Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing) to establish project requirements through briefs and project plans
  • Drive day-to-day production: managing teams and/or vendors, leading kick-offs, running weekly syncs, tracking timelines and budgets, compiling feedback, striving for clarity, and comm’sing status updates to stakeholders
  • Advocate for the work and for Design Studio’s creative perspective
  • Remove roadblocks and drive progress
  • Create efficiencies: implementing scalable & repeatable processes, improving team rhythm/collaboration/communication, recording and sharing learnings along the way
  • Collaborate with fellow Creative Producers and product leaders to connect teams across large-scale, impactful initiatives

  You have...

  • Worked as a Producer at an agency or on an in-house creative team
  • Experience working with designers & product teams on strategic metrics-based initiatives
  • A track record of operating independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A meticulous sense of organization, with a passion for operational excellence
  • Effective communication skills
  • The ability to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA

  Exceptional candidates will have...

  • Experience in consumer tech
  • A strong vendor/production network
  • A strong sense for visual design, mobile UI convention and user empathy
  • Hyper vigilant attention to detail
  • A desire to synthesize ambiguity into action
