The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Enterprise Data Team, the Product Owner Director will be responsible for translating the product vision into squad deliverables to achieve the product strategy. The Enterprise Data team creates reusable, enterprise-ready data capabilities and data assets for the organization. Delivery is achieved by managing scope and product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, clients (internal/external) and key partners. In addition, the Product Owner Director will support the success of a growing portfolio of enterprise ready data capabilities, spanning data management, data integration, data quality, among others.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Translate the Enterprise Data Team product vision into squad deliverables and release plans
  • Actively participate with other members of the delivery team (Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Development and QA Analysts) and lead the delivery team to create solutions that meet business needs in an Agile setting (i.e., scrum ceremonies, release planning, collocated team, etc.)
  • Help guide the team to decompose requirements into stories, uncover associated workflows, data and business rules as well as define acceptance criteria based on real world scenarios
  • Review enhancement requests and bugs to determine solutions that do not negatively impact other product features
  • Lead design walkthroughs, demos, and functionality feedback sessions with internal and external partners
  • Determine and produce just-enough documentation for the functionality being delivered in iterations, but also compile a running specification that serves as a functional specification for the final result
  • Bring the voice of the client (external/internal) into the squad
  • Cultivate relationships with the Team Lead and key collaborators to identify issues, risks, and dependencies, and maintain alignment to achieve product strategy
  • Craft and deliver clear and concise high quality presentations to partners and leadership that provide the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience
  • Attend and participate in all squad meetings (e.g., sprints and release events)

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience


Talents Needed for Success:
  • Exhibit strong understanding of Agile Software Development (primarily Scrum and Kanban) principles and techniques
  • Understand and use applicable work management tools (i.e. JIRA) for decision making and collaboration
  • Prior experience communicating with all partners (technology, clients, finance, integration, operations teams) to engage in discussion, create user stories, and consistently deliver the right products and solutions
  • Preferred experience in leading data-driven initiatives with a strong understanding of the data journey of an organization
  • Preferred experience with data capabilities such data management, data integration, data analytics, and data quality
  • Complete the Product Vision and effectively translate into Product Roadmap and Backlog items to deliver the highest value
  • Ability to craft value statements and show business outcomes with correlating metrics (e.g., OKR's and KPI's)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, collaborative, and strategic leadership skills with a proven track record to lead, engage, and inspire teams
  • Comfort in partnering with and leading strong subject matter experts with a diverse group of backgrounds and abilities
