Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy - New Verticals

About the Team

The New Verticals Finance & Strategy team supports DoorDash's expansion into categories beyond restaurants, which is a critical growth driver for the overall company. We enable our businesses to grow faster while becoming more profitable. We do this by creating quarterly and annual plans, holding our stakeholders accountable to goals, and providing strategic insights on our business to understand past trends and identify the best path forward.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high growth business inside DoorDash. Within New Verticals, you will focus on either our Grocery or DashMart business, two of our biggest bets as a company as we expand beyond restaurants. We are looking for a Senior Associate who can model the future, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution. You will partner with teams across the business to support financial decisions and ensure we are making efficient, data-driven decisions. Given the small size of the team relative to the complexity of the business, you will have significant ability to shape growth and profitability, and have meaningful visibility to senior leaders at the company.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Help shape and support nascent businesses

  • 4+ years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in a high-growth technology sector
  • Ability to influence cross functional partners at all levels
  • Experience managing budgets for various teams
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Able to build robust financial models used by F&S teams throughout the company
  • Basic SQL proficiency (or strong willingness to learn)

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role also includes opportunities for equity grants.

California Pay Range:

$102,600-$162,000 USD

New York Pay Range:

$108,000-$162,000 USD

Washington Pay Range:

$102,600-$154,000 USD
