DoorDash Commerce Platform is our company's hypergrowth first-party growth platform, serving restaurants, grocers, and retailers. The Commerce Platform includes a suite of products and services that enable merchants to grow their first-party channels, including software-as-a-service products across online ordering, mobile apps, and other ordering channels, and operational products such as ecommerce delivery fulfillment and support. As part of the Commerce Platform Restaurants Strategy & Operations team, the Manager will have the opportunity to lead, define, test, and scale the Commerce Platform's most exciting bets.

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for a Manager to build and execute strategic initiatives to grow the Commerce Platform US Enterprise Restaurants vertical. You'll be goaled on volume and revenue growth for your portfolio, as well as profitability. Your key responsibilities will include influencing large and sophisticated US Enterprise Restaurants to grow their first-party business utilizing DoorDash Commerce Platform products, tools, and services, as well as identifying new first-party growth opportunities, incubating them, proving product market fit, and running go-to-market.

On a typical day, you may create merchant growth strategies, coordinate the launch of a new merchant end-to-end, run experiments to improve fulfillment quality, meet with merchant stakeholders to hear their ideas and painpoints, and identify and build the business case for new growth opportunities at the merchant or portfolio level. Additionally, this is a highly cross-functional role, requiring daily partnership with stakeholders across Product & Engineering, Sales/BD/Account Management stakeholders, and stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Analytics, etc.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross-functional buy-in to achieve DoorDash's strategic goals.

  • Own your portfolio - You are ultimately responsible for hitting topline volume/revenue and bottomline profitability goals for your portfolio. You must be able to diagnose & address problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Execute - Execute on initiatives to grow your portfolio
  • Influence - Work cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, BD/Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics teams
  • Analyze - Build analyses to understand merchant and market opportunity, product performance, and build business cases for new investments
  • Experiment - Use a data-driven approach to identify opportunities to test and experiment with new ideas to grow your portfolio

  • You have 6+ years of experience in strategy & operations, product operations, or growth, ideally at a tech company or within a tech organization
  • You have experience leading projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment

  • You are a strong executive communicator
  • You have Excel (can perform complex functions and modeling) and SQL knowledge (basic)

  • You are a relationship-builder - You can influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functions

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
