About the Role
As an Associate Manager on the ANZ International New Verticals S&O team, you will be responsible for improving the cost efficiency and order quality across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail verticals. In this role, you'll define key go-to-market strategies, launch and manage cost and quality initiatives, and dive into data to identify trends that will inform operational + product strategies, all while working with a wide array of cross-functional teams.

More specifically, you will drive local experimentation to improve the order experience for consumers and improve delivery efficiency; you'll use analytics to provide our Merchants with insights on how to reduce errors and make internal recommendations about how to optimize fees; finally you'll help roll out new product features designed to prevent errors in the ordering process or new logistics features on the backend designed to improve logistics efficiency. On a regular basis, you will dive into data to monitor cost and quality performance, root cause any issues, and develop action plans as needed. You will also work cross-functionally with account management, product, engineering, finance, and operational teams to drive subtotal improvements.
You will report into the ANZ New Verticals General Manager.

- Strategize - From first principles, you'll develop the optimal cost and quality strategy for the ANZ New Verticals business,
- Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations and top-notch execution.
- Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments
- Experiment. You'll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes
- Build. You'll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash's next big business. You'll launch new products, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.
- Lead, collaborate and Influence. You'll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale our New Verticals business.
