We are looking to bring on a strategic, solutions-oriented, and data-driven retention marketer to focus on launching and iterating on CRM programs. As Associate Manager, Consumer Retention you will leverage CRM channels (email, push, in-app notifications) to drive consumer trials and retention on DoorDash's restaurant and non-restaurant categories (ex. grocery, retail). The ideal candidate is able to think big picture and ideate on the Consumer lifecycle in one moment and seamlessly transition into the weeds of campaign execution and reporting in the next. They have experience building consensus with cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships with cross functional partners, and excel at making data-informed decisions to accomplish campaign and business objectives.

Key areas of support include:

  • Creating and maintaining campaigns & workflow strategy for non-restaurant (New Vertical) growth initiatives including offer, cadence, and audience testing
  • Using omni-channel marketing tools to build complex CRM journeys/workflows, including triggered-campaigns and automations, with static and dynamic content.
  • Analyzing the impact of initiatives on key business metrics like order rate and revenue
  • Supporting creative ideation & iteration, including creative optimization with the help of internal creative resources
  • Consulting and overseeing strategy for various consumer workstreams, and working closely with cross-functional partners.

In this role, you will collaborate with many teams across the Canada business (strategy & operations, brand, product marketing, analytics) as well as with global Retention team members to create and execute strategies that engage and retain active customers on emerging lines of business at DoorDash.

You will report into the Senior Manager on our Consumer Retention team in our DoorDash Technologies Canada, Inc. organization.

  • Work to support new business lines and expansion opportunities by building and developing thoughtful, strategic, multi-channel CRM strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end development and execution of multi-channel campaigns (email, push, in-app) messaging that includes driving the creative review process, collaborating with designers and copywriters, identifying target audience segments and capturing feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Build, QA, and monitor complex journeys/workflows that leverage static and dynamic content to deliver personalized campaigns and automations.
  • Be responsible for tracking your initiatives, reporting progress out to team proactively, and identifying next steps from campaign learnings
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in our New Verticals, Product, Marketing Operations, Analytics and Strategy teams.
  • Analyze campaign results, develop benchmarks, and create and share regular performance reports

We're excited about you because...

  • 4+ years experience in customer retention, email, or growth marketing
  • In-depth understanding of ESP/Marketing Automation platforms (i.e. Braze, Iterable, ExactTarget, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys) and experiencing deploying complex CRM programs
  • Experienced with data analysis, targeting and program measurement (preference for SQL proficiency)
  • Results-oriented with an exceptional track record of developing profitable retention or cross-channel marketing programs and exceeding performance targets
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and consensus on initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills; able to create data-driven marketing campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience with CRM technology, segmentation tools, and complex data structures and systems
  • Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Periscope) are nice-to-haves

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within British Columbia.
