The Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology team is seeking a Technical Program Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our team. As a Technical Program Manager you will partner with Product Management, Partner Engineering, and Technical Account Management to understand business and B2B2C Partners needs, translate those needs to engineering requirements, and collaborate with all impacted teams to ensure Partners successful launch of the Disney+ services. The right person for this role is proficient in both technology, the language of product, streaming services and Partner technical integration support. You will need to move and adapt quickly as needed change. The Technical Program Manager - Partnerships leads technical program delivery of Disney+ services to a large roster of Domestic and International B2B2C Partners. The cross-functional role requires a combination of technical acumen, program management, project management, and risk management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, relationship builder and leader who will also help shape the team as we continue to evolve, grow, and partner with our world-class engineering and product organizations
What You Will Do:
Own execution for upcoming Partner launches, driving request intake, issue resolution, and delivery
Build strategic and trusted partnerships with our team leads from the Technical Account Management Team, Partner Integration Engineering Teams, and Device & Media Product teams to ensure alignment with business needs
Partner with engineering, product and Technical Account Management to translate Partner requests to comprehensive execution plans
Work with multiple internal teams to track progress on your programs in a manner easily consumable by all stakeholders
Provide escalation management, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, and balance business needs with technical constraints in order to provide timely updates on project health to a cross-functional executive audience of technical, business, and operations stakeholders
Author detailed reports for program status, schedules, task assignments, risks
Track and drive the resolution of Partner open issues for any given delivery through clear communication with stakeholders
Identify inefficiencies in the processes, and drive better, more efficient processes where needed for programs to deliver optimally and on time
What You Will Bring:
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 years practical experience in a technical role, preferably within streaming media
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
Experience working with external Partners across LATAM, EMEA and APAC
Proven track record managing complex technical programs in distributed application models with partner devices, such as set top boxes, customer purchasing journeys and content metadata catalog distribution
Knowledge of Streaming, Video Playback technology, and API integration
Understanding of systems architectures, design and implementation
Ability to actively identify dependencies/risks and work with engineering counterparts to mitigate these
Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, written and verbal communication
Good understanding of cloud based backend and front-end environment
Experience working with QA teams facilitating, removing blockers and reviewing test results readout
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using and building Airtable interfaces or similar tool
Experience shipping entertainment and media applications on web, mobile platforms, video game consoles, set top boxes, or smart TVs
Account management, client service, and/or management consulting experience is a plus.
Experience in application development kits (ADK) integration is a plus
Fluent in Spanish

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, California is $114,500.00-$153,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
