We are looking for a Sr IAM Platform Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) group. This group is responsible for providing a Core IAM ecosystem of products and platforms in use across the company by cast members, employees, and partners across Disney.

What You Will Do

  • Acts as an active participant in Disney’s IAM Transformation program, collaborating closely with engineering teams in support of their custom developed solutions and products

  • Develops scripts to aid in automation and operations of IAM service offerings

  • Supply & recommend on integration, implementation, and transformation of vendor-based IAM products and platforms that support Disney and its partners

  • Plan, validate, and complete project initiatives for technical integration and implementation of our IAM services – establishing close vendor & supplier relationships

  • Define & maintain all aspects of the platform engineering process, including service/product technical evaluation process, lab testing, and service solution design

  • Work closely with architects, service owners, vendors, and more to ensure alignment with Enterprise Technology strategies, standards, and policies

  • Continually evaluate capabilities of services/products, and design and implement solutions/plans to increase effectiveness and efficiency

Required Qualifications & Skills 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting IAM, enterprise platforms, and/or collaboration ecosystems 

  • Demonstrated ability with implementing & maintaining large-scale IAM solutions, including Products/Vendors (Okta, Active Directory (Azure/AD), Ping, SailPoint, BeyondTrust), Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Password-less

  • Demonstrated ability running Okta efforts at scale within a medium-to-large enterprise environment.

  • Validated experience with Identity Federation, HCM tools (e.g., SAP, Workday), IAM Data Integration, PAM, & IGA

  • Proven background leading certificate lifecycle and integration

  • Validated experience working with protocols/standards such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth2, OIDC, LDAP, FIDO2, & Kerberos

  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts applied to operational procedures for end-user IT enablement, as well as Agile methodologies through sprint planning activities

  • Multi-functional technology skills in areas such as public cloud, SaaS and on-prem applications and platforms, devices, and remote access

  • Proven experience automating common operational tasks, web service/API integration, and deployment activities in scripting/programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, etc.)

  • Holds understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication for partners (internal & external) in all roles and levels 

  • Ability to establish credibility, coordinate partnerships across segments, and provide overall technical leadership to other engineers

  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills - balancing multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

  • Carries Okta Certifications such as Okta Certified Professional & Okta Certified Administrator

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in a related field

  • Related technical, (CISSP, Security, etc.), IAM, and/or Okta Certification/s: Okta Certified Consultant; Okta Certified Developer; Okta Certified Workflow Specialty

  • Solid understanding with sensitive data handling such as COPPA, PCI, PII, & Safe Harbor

  • Familiarity with deployments and integration of IAM solutions with public cloud providers

The hiring range for this position in Burbank CA is $126,400 to $169,500 per year and in Seattle is $132,500 to $177,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
