About the Role: We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to serve as a strategic leader and customer-facing director within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) practice. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive growth, secure new business opportunities, and deepen relationships with key clients. The Sr. Practice Director will work closely with sales, delivery teams, and clients to align IAM solutions with our customers' security and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Define and implement the IAM strategy at WWT, encompassing pre-sales and post-sales service offerings, while shaping the long-term vision to establish IAM as a $1B portfolio within the Global Cyber practice."
- Serve as a catalyst for demand generation across the IAM portfolio, partnering with specialty sellers, client teams, and consulting services so that they can identify opportunities and drive new business.
- Identify and pursue cross-sell and up-sell opportunities both within the IAM portfolio (first), then the Global Cyber GTM (second), and finally the WWT full portfolio to align with clients' evolving needs.
- Collaborate with clients to design tailored solution blueprints, support pre-sales conversations, architectural roadmaps, and strategy development, and effectively communicate proposals.
- Lead a team of industry experts who develop complex IAM solutions, supporting the scoping of client needs and ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational capabilities.
- Act as a mentor for Technical Solution Engineers (TSE) and Technical Solution Architects (TSA), providing guidance on solution strategies and client engagement, along with career development.
Client Engagement & Solution Development
- Contribute a deep understanding of client security concerns and tailor solutions to meet their specific IAM needs, while maintaining this body of knowledge and serving as a model for others.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge in multiple IAM areas (e.g., IGA, DAM, PAM) and guide internal "tiger teams" (i.e. CoE) and clients on IAM strategies at a programmatic level.
- Ensure client concerns are matched with strategic IAM offerings, both from a product and services standpoint, and highlight additional long-term strategies to enhance their security programs.
Operational Excellence & Team Leadership
- Guide IAM teams on the development and delivery of key program initiatives, fostering a high level of operational efficiency.
- Oversee and refine IAM policies, standards, and identity lifecycle management processes, ensuring best practices in user provisioning, authentication, and access control.
- Develop and communicate IAM roadmaps, collaborating with business and cybersecurity stakeholders to drive strategic alignment.
- Support negotiations with external vendors and manage third-party IAM solutions to complement internal capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background (Preferred): Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field such as STEM, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or relevant work experience.
- Experience:
- 8+ years in a technical role within the identity domain, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience building an IAM practice, both in terms of talent and key solution offerings.
- Strong background in IGA, PAM, DAM, and IAM advisory roles, with hands-on experience in designing and delivering solutions at scale to enterprise-sized clients.
- Proven success in pre-sales, post-sales, or technical support roles in cybersecurity environments.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in key IAM technologies, including SSO, MFA, Active Directory, and privileged access management, with the ability to speak to these terms at the executive level.
- Ability to evaluate, select, and implement IAM solutions, aligned with enterprise security needs.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, SOX), Zero Trust concepts, and their impact on identity management, including the ability to speak on these topics in a public setting.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, from account managers to technical architects, to drive customer-centric outcomes.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Proven ability to mentor and develop IAM professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on best practices and continuous learning.
- Track record of building strong, high-performing teams and guiding them to deliver impactful IAM solutions.
