Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of Cloud resources, operating systems, applications, and Kubernetes clusters
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, scaling, and managing containers across multiple environments
  • Develop and implement Helm charts or YAML files to streamline Kubernetes deployments
  • Automate cluster monitoring, upgrades, and security patches to ensure high availability
  • Develop and implement scripts to manage Kubernetes-based operational and administrative needs.
  • Proactively identify and recommend updates to Kubernetes clusters and architecture to optimize resource utilization and scalability
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including Kubernetes architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot and triage Kubernetes-related issues, including networking, storage, and container lifecycle management
  • Build automated incident responses within Kubernetes to minimize manual interventions
  • Participate in Scrum team activities, contributing to Kubernetes-related design and automation efforts


Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in cloud technologies


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, deploying microservices, and handling container orchestration in a production environment
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service mesh, and persistent storage management
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively to clarify requirements, troubleshoot Kubernetes issues, and identify innovative solutions
  • Ability to assist in documenting requirements and resolving conflicts or ambiguities related to Kubernetes environments
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $118,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
