Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the Manager of IT System Administration at Dish India, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at maintaining and enhancing our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. End-to-End IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the comprehensive management of Dish India's IT infrastructure, encompassing end-user computing (Mac, Windows), LAN & WAN networks, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and backups.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of dynamic IT/System administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  3. Drive complex IT infrastructure projects from inception through execution, ensuring successful implementation within established timelines and budgets.
  4. Work closely and collaborate with both onshore and offshore to align IT initiatives with the overall business objectives.
  5. Develop and implement infrastructure automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
  7. Liaise and coordinate with infrastructure OEM vendors to procure equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely resolution of technical issues.
  8. Develop an annual IT infrastructure plan tailored to the specific needs and growth objectives of Dish India, aligning technology investments with business strategies.
  9. Recruit, onboard, manage, and mentor IT/System administrators, nurturing their professional growth and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requirements:
  1. Engineering degree or MCA with 14 plus years of total experience with experience in managing IT infrastructure operations teams.
  2. Proven experience in IT system administration and infrastructure management.
  3. Strong leadership and project management skills.
  4. Expertise in infrastructure automation and technology solutions.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  6. Vendor management experience is a plus.
  7. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS, and VMware) preferred.
  8. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
