Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is looking for an accomplished and adaptable Data Science Product Owner to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the development of data-driven products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Your expertise in data science will be instrumental in facilitating effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders, ultimately enabling the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering and business teams, to deliver high-quality solutions that address business needs
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and iteration plans that synchronize with business goals and stakeholder requirements
  • Communicate product strategies, progress updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members
  • Facilitate sprint planning sessions, ensuring the team is aligned with priority tasks, and conduct regular demos to showcase progress to stakeholders
  • Take ownership of backlog items, driving them to completion and effectively managing associated risks akin to a project manager's responsibilities
  • Ensure timely delivery of products within budgetary constraints and in accordance with quality standards
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in a product ownership capacity, focusing on data science & analytics


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiarity with data science and engineering concepts, including ML
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud stack (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Certification in agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year
