Job Duties and Responsibilities
Boost Mobile is seeking a Senior E911 Performance Engineer with a strong background in wireless telecommunications and performance engineering. This role is responsible for the daily operations and optimal performance of E-911 emergency services for Boost Mobile and will report to the Head of Regulated Services.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wireless communications principles, RF propagation, and hands-on experience with performance tools and optimization techniques. A good understanding of wireless E-911 4G (LTE) and 5G (NR) call and data flows is highly desired.
This strategic position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with various business units and reports directly to the Head of Regulated Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build tools and processes to monitor E-911 system KPIs and investigate performance degradations.
- Use monitoring tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Define performance benchmarks to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Analyze test and live emergency call data to optimize performance.
- Diagnose and resolve E-911 technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
- Conduct testing to improve network reliability and efficiency, and present performance reports to stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Telecommunications, or related technical field, and a minimum of 4 years of wireless engineering or operations experience
- Relevant regulatory performance job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience defining and implementing KPIs, including corresponding processes, workflows, and dashboards
- Familiarity with emergency communication and location technologies and telecommunications networks
- Familiarity with FCC regulations related to E-911 with the ability to implement technologies in a way that maintains compliance
- Demonstrated career progression, both in increasing responsibilities and skill development
- Good verbal, written, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work with other organizations and teams
- Understanding of E911 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) required for performance tracking and reporting
- Experience with incident management and root cause analysis
- Ability to independently support multiple projects and deadlines
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
