Job Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Network Automation Engineer sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, CO.

Design and engineer effective and scalable network systems that ultimately contribute to the success of our 5G network. Participate in evaluation, testing, selection and deployment of foundational network elements for a nationwide greenfield 5G network buildout. Provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work, including functional subsystem upgrades for mission-critical network devices and services as well as strategic upgrades to the network. Design, plan, and implement complex LAN/WAN/RAN configurations at nationwide scale in a service provider network. Review architectural requirements and provide analysis for network and services specifications, network design, network partitioning and network architecture definition. Communicate engineering solutions through detailed high- and low-level diagrams. Provide advanced expertise in the development of network test, validation and integration plans on projects and assurance of network integrity. Work independently with vendors to understand, test and drive new innovative features.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience with Cisco ACI "Application Centric Infrastructure" in job offered or as Network and Data Center Specialist/Principal Engineer. Also requires 3 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

  • MPLS and/or segment routing (SR-MPLS, SRv6)
  • eBGP, iBGP, IS-IS, VRFs, and QoS
  • Ansible, and Zero Touch Provisioning
  • IPv6 (SLAAC and DHCPv6)
  • Network timing and synchronization (GNSS, GPS, and PTP)
  • Network configuration automation (scripting with Perl, Python, and Bash)
• Server virtualization (VMWare and Openstack)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $180,000.00/Year
