This role will support evaluating, mitigating and reporting supporting several risk types impacting the Payment Services business including Operational risks, Business Continuity risks and Third Party Vendor Management risks. Specifically, this role supports the company-wide Operational Risk Scenario Analysis approach used to estimate the impact of low-frequency and high-severity operational loss events that have not occurred for the Company's annual Capital Plan. This is a highly visible role with exposure to Payment Services leadership and assists teams with fulfilling program obligations. Additionally, this role supports completion of the annual Business Continuity plan for Payment Services providing guidance to business partners supporting completion of program requirements. Further, this role supports Payment Services Third Party Vendor Management risk activities supporting program requirements and providing expert guidance. Finally, the role includes participation with various DFS Enterprise-wide strategy initiatives such as the Resolution Plan and Economic Cycle Readiness reviews.
Provides risk management leadership related to key Business Risk Management and Payment Services initiatives. Perform key responsibilities such as developing project plans, project management, risk analysis and monitoring, prioritization, internal and external reporting, and management updates. Work cross functionally with business partners to execute key risk management initiatives.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
- Create and manage both high level and detailed project plans. Assess risks to plans and develop strategies to mitigate risk. Execute and track projects and manage initiatives to achieve overall goals and objectives.
- Lead risk management discussions and effective collaboration with business line management, subject matter experts, and external parties.
- Develop reporting and dashboards to inform various constituencies on the status of assigned projects.
- Advises and coaches team members. Provide quality control review of information provided by team members.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in project Management, Financial Analyst, Credit Analyst, Accountant, Law, Risk or Related
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in project Management, Financial Analyst, Credit Analyst, Accountant, Law, Risk or Related
Preferred Qualifications

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
