About you
Diageo Treasury is one of the largest Group Treasury functions in Hungary with global oversight in financial risk management for the Diageo Group.
Diageo in-market cash level is around $1bn globally, held with circa 100 banks on approximately 800 bank accounts.

Group Treasury oversees the efficient management of circa $26bn gross cash-flow on a monthly basis. This is achieved via best-in-class cash management structures like cash pooling, intercompany loans and deposits.
About the role
- The Cash Flow Specialist is in contact with multiple markets and subsidiaries in our regions (Africa, APAC, Europe, LAC & NAM)
- Group cash management impacts fully owned subsidiaries, JVs, Associates, SAP and non-SAP companies as well.
- Optimal cash management involves efficient coordination of payables, collections, payroll, tax, cross border cash transfers and cash balance transparency
- Weekly cash forecasts and monthly cash analytics (SAP, BFC)
- Monitor global bank account balances, drive compliance where needed
- Drive improvements in processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Stakeholder management to resolve issues
The Cash Flow Specialist provides regular analytics on Group cash balance and liquidity positions. Understands drivers behind cash movements and projects, is able to propose ways to improve accuracy and efficiency of forecasts. They will work with markets to manage cash balances within agreed bank credit limits. They support Global Cash and Banking Manager with various activities and projects as required. This is achieved via robust analytics and excellent partner management with:
- Treasury traders and operational teams
- Regional Treasury
- E2E Commercial, Source-To-Pay and Bank Operations
- Diageo in-market finance teams
- Diageo Relationship banks
- System providers
The role contributes to Diageo cash agenda with regular and accurate forecast of Group cash position and cash-flow. The Specialist drives improvements in cash management efficiency and contributes to delivering cash efficiency projects. Reviews structures for the regions and suggests opportunities to increase cash visibility, simplify bank account structure and reduce in market cash.
What you'll bring
- Recognised qualification in economic or financial studies
- Results oriented, strong drive and urgency
- Able to work on multiple tasks to tight deadlines concurrently
- Excellent business English
- Control mindset and risk awareness
- Strong SAP and MS Excel knowledge (macro-programming is an advantage)
- At least 1 year experience with Diageo or in cash management
- Understanding Diageo group structure and business unit interactions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience with implementing change or project management
- Experience with banking, cash forecasting and shared service processes is an advantage
