About the Team
Procurement Digital and Process Excellence is an integral part of Diageo's Supply Chain & Procurement. Our Procurement Strategy is enabled by a focus on our people and capabilities, systems, processes and tools, relationship management, Inclusion & Diversity, and Innovation.
Diageo's Procurement function is structured to take advantage of our global scale through a model based on Globally led Category Procurement and Market led Procurement teams. We operate a strong collaboration model between our market and global category teams, where we work together as One Procurement Community. Our model enables a strategy development for defined categories, with the aim to have 80% of spend across Supply, Demand and Indirect categories controlled globally.
Grain to Glass Sustainability is an integral part of Diageo's end to end strategy & is being enabled by leading Digital, Data and Insights solutions. Grain to Glass Sustainability focuses on driving reductions in the environmental impact of Diageo's value chain supporting the delivery of Diageo's 2030 Sustainability targets. This is fueled through data-driven insights and reporting across our connected value chain. Investing smartly in our sustainable digital strategy will enable move towards achieving our 2030 sustainability ambitions and meet external reporting requirements.
About the Role
The Sustainable Procurement Data Analyst will be a key member of the Procurement & Sustainability Digital Insights team, responsible for collecting, validating, and ingesting sustainability-related data to support Diageo's Scope 3 carbon reporting. You'll be providing information to support sustainability standards and frameworks, particularly the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
The successful candidate will work with Global Procurement, Grain to Glass & Non-Financial Reporting teams to provide data used in reporting Diageo's Scope 3 Carbon emissions.
Key responsibilities include:
Data Collection:
- Gather sustainability data from various internal and external sources.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Data Validation:
- Validate collected data to meet quality standards.
- Align data with external reporting requirements.
Data Ingestion: •
- Ingest validated data into Diageo's sustainability reporting systems and databases.
Reporting:
- Support the preparation of Scope 3 carbon reports.
- Ensure alignment with CSRD and other relevant sustainability standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant sustainability standards and regulations.
About You
For this role we are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- University Degree in a quantitative (STEM) or environment/sustainability focused discipline or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a Supply Chain or Sustainability function.
- Excellent data management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software - including Advanced Excel, PowerBI and SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferable to have some understanding of sustainability standards and frameworks, including CSRD.
