About the role:
The Senior Manager for the Southeast Region will be responsible for driving awareness, distribution, and sales within the designated territory across all brands in the Diageo Non Alcoholic Beverages (DNAB) division. This role involves managing distributor relationships, external sales team collaborations, and internal sales teams. The successful candidate will plan and execute strategies to achieve regional goals and work closely with interdepartmental DNAB (Diageo Non-Alcoholic Beverage) teams, contracted sales teams, and distributor partners to enhance brand presence and increase sales.
As a leader in a dynamic field, the Senior Manager will become an expert in their territory through continuous training and education. They will play a pivotal role in the success of Diageo brands in their market with support from full sales, marketing, and creative teams.
People Leadership
The Senior Manager will lead and manage a team of Market Specialists within their territory by providing guidance, support, and continuous training. They will set clear performance expectations aligned with regional goals and conduct regular reviews to assess progress against KPIs. By fostering open communication and collaboration among team members, the Sr. Manager will ensure cohesive execution of strategies. The role also involves mentoring Market Specialists for professional growth while holding them accountable for their performance. Recognition of outstanding contributions is key to building morale and reinforcing a positive work culture.
Role Responsibilities:
Accountabilities
- Execute sales plans that align with overall brand objectives with distributor management partnership
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets in on & off-premise channels
- Identify opportunities to increase product distribution and visibility in key accounts
- Plan and execute activities to drive consumer awareness and education
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for their respective local market
- Build relationships with other Diageo commercial stakeholders to ensure connectivity and opportunities to amplify presence in all retail outlets
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends & opportunities growth by preparing regular reports on campaign performance, market trends, and competitor activities
- Ensure compliance all relevant regulations/company policies all on & off-premise activities by maintaining accurate records/documentation related on & off-premise activations/results
Qualifications And Experience Required
- Ability to engage, influence and coordinate wholesalers and distributors
- Self-starter with strong ability to influence with data and fact-based selling strategies. Expertise in various POS data including IRI and Chain-Related Category Data
- Effective knowledge of Excel, Microsoft 365, VIP
- 7+ Years working in commercial or trade management; on & off-premise expertise and focus highly preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives with excellent time management skills; ability prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- 3-5 years of managerial experience preferred.
