• 4-8 years experience in similar background, FMCG / Big4 preferred

• Knowledge of Accounting system (e.g. SAP) & Advanced Excel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

1. COGS + Source governance, controlling and reporting

• India COGS comprises of approx. 6500 cr divided into plan, source, make and move. The role requires every month to consolidate and review of category split performance of COGS (Make/ Move/ Source) with an overall management of COGS performance scorecard and report it to CEO, CFO, CSO, EVP - Sourcing, FC and VP-SF alongside critical key stakeholders in Sourcing and Finance teams.
• Provide BPM deck inputs on COGS as part of AOP / Scorecard process
• On monthly basis provide deep dive analysis and reporting on COGS including brand and geographic analysis as well as trends
• Overall responsibility for all Supply KPI reporting and submission at Diageo India and Diageo Group level
• Source is a biggest category amongst COGS which contributes to approx. 80% (4500 cr) of overall COGS.
• The role involves closely working with procurement category buyers and develop AOP and IOP for India Direct materials including BIO. The person needs to do a granular build up in partnership with Procurement team. Provide see through analysis and challenge during process. The global strategy on productivity is incorporated in AOP. The inflation is worked out and productivity numbers are frozen.
• The person needs to aggregate and report on performance of the directs spends for India on a monthly basis and provide see through cost analysis on spend down to a SKU level including productivity targets based on inputs from the Source team.
• Sharp reasoning to be called out during monthly brand pack variance analysis with impact of volume, mix and rate.
• O&R reporting - provide key insights (opportunities and risks) on source rates to FP&A team to enable them to understand GM movements.

Ad Hoc Global Supply queries
Ad Hoc Audit queries
Ad hoc support for Opcom and scorecard decks
T4/T5/T6 discussions on financial performance with Procurement team holding the team accountable for direct materials.

2. Costing analysis + Causal Global reporting

• There is equal importance provided for Global reporting which gets directly scrutinized by Diageo Supply Chain and Finance Director, Global Supply Finance Controller and Performance Manager
• The role requires to perform a critical supply Causal reporting to Global Supply Performance Manager, Global Supply Finance Controller and Diageo Supply Chain and Procurement Finance Director. It involves complex view on COGS P&L lines and its drivers, both actuals and LE, by Market and Group level with the integration of Procurement numbers into COGS reporting. This enables to understand and address the COGS drivers and identify opportunities & risks at a more granular level.
• Provide detailed inputs and reporting on Share of Business reporting on ENA and Glass alongside market bottle utilization (forms approx. 60% of Source costs)
• Perform Blend and other component analysis (approx. 15% of Source cost)
• Analysis of price difference GLs.
• Conduct analysis on special spirits and report variances
• Identify and resolve Gaps of missing COGS and initiate corrective actions.
• To report on productivity progress for Source area across Diageo India

3. Governance and Compliance

• Promoting effective controls and recommendation of operating improvements where necessary for in market activities with regard to Source areas
• External and Internal Audit Liaison along with statutory audit and reporting
• Provide support and input on source issues and queries as they arise
• Support in the creation and implementation of effective governance, compliance and risk management frameworks across USL to drive holistic performance and maintain reputation
• Ensure pro-active input into preventative actions to address key business risks on accounts of cost.
• Support in resolution of issues and proactively create an environment where risk is avoided
• Champion the embedding of a compliance culture within USL
