The role of Regulatory Specialist provides key support and expertise, driving a culture of product compliance across the supply chain. The role reports directly to the Regulatory Manager within the Technical organization.

About the Role:
The role exists to lead the product compliance work for Innovation and Brand Change projects produced within North America and sold within U.S., Canada, and other export markets! Responsibilities include ensuring TTB formula and label approval submissions for the US, specification and data reviews of ingredients, formulas, materials, and packaging graphics across the NA brand portfolio for spirits and beer for domestic, exported, and imported products.
Role Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for the regulatory compliance of liquid and packaging for 3 core brands and an additional 56 local priority brands, including all the variants and SKUs associated with these brands.
- Expert on the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 27, Parts 5, 7, 19, 24, and 25 and other related Parts. Ensure label/formula regulatory compliance for State, Federal, and export markets.
- Team supports 80-100 projects annually: varying from innovations, complete brand redesign, imports/exports, to minor changes including bold speed to market targets.
- Collaboration with plant operations, liquid developers, whiskey blenders, legal, and government affairs.
Key Outputs:
- Participate in project meetings and provide appropriate challenges, recommendations and guidance based on North American and/or global regulations and past project findings to enable practical execution of the company's commercialization goals and objectives.
- Complete all regulatory filings as required by the TTB for formulations and packaging approvals. Build positive relationships with TTB Specialists to find solutions, as needed.
- Support artwork review process for all packaging components for malt beverages, spirits, and VAPs for North American and export markets; collaborating with Supply and Demand stakeholders.
- Calculate and communicate Excise Tax rates for products sold in the US, enforcing all internal audit readiness process requirements.
- Provide information and assistance to local and global counterparts and other internal partners regarding NA market regulations and activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in beverage alcohol laws and procedures, documentation requirements, labeling laws, and have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (Title 27) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is considered a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, both verbal and written, with internal partners, external government agencies and 3rd Party vendors and customers.
- Capable of maintaining a heavy workload with aggressive timelines.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Undergraduate degree in science, business, or equivalent college degree or operational background.
