About the role:

The Supply Chain Operations Manager role objectives include leading the Transform the Business agenda for KBL Supply as well as unlock tactical challenges that the Supply function faces.

The Transform the Business scope will include collaborating with the Supply Chain (SC) functional leads to derive the KBL Supply Chain Strategy, Annual Capacity Planning in line with the strategy, development of a 3-year productivity pipeline as well as driving the Digital Supply Chain Transformation project. The role will also ensure that cadence of supplier reviews is set up for strategic contracts such as the 3PL in Move, Engineering and Utilities contracts amongst other. This role will also ensure regular reviews between the COE partners for medium to long term strategies.

Acting as the Single Point of Contact for Commercial teams, the Operations Manager will manage availability concerns, such as material shortages leading to Out of Stock (OOS) situations and expedite necessary actions. Additionally, this role will support the KBL Supply Chain Director (SCD) by addressing key operational bottlenecks, enabling the KBL SCD and site managers to concentrate on core manufacturing priorities.

The role holder will be part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team and will work closely with the site managers, HoDs and other business partners.

  • Continuously explore ways to step change performance through optimization initiatives.
  • Strong oversight and timely decision making on strategic investments
  • Provide visibility of initiatives timely.
    • Follow up on key unlock actions for timely issue resolution.
    • Escalate any areas that require quick decision making.
    • Collaborate effectively across all stakeholder groups.
    • Act as the single point of contact for the defined scope.


Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Minimum of Bachelors degree and 10 years of senior manufacturing experience in a Supply Chain related field
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
  • Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaboration
  • An understanding of how leading technology can enable Smart Manufacturing
  • Great at building cross-functional relationships and credibility with business leaders, your teams, external stakeholders, and peers.
  • Strong functional expertise combined with intellectual insights and change management experience.
  • Proficient in technical skills, industry-standard systems development, and people development.
  • Strong financial acumen with a thorough understanding of P&L interactions, balance sheet, cash flow, and the impact of supply operations on these elements.
  • Leading-edge understanding and thought leadership in site and manufacturing development, including new technologies in the beer, cider, and non-alcoholic beverage industries.
