ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The M&E Specialist is responsible for the evaluation and recommendations of all investment activities of the company, aligned with the business strategy. He / She will ensure the accurate use of commercial and noncommercial investments in accordance with the best conditions for the company, within M&E Global Guidance.


  • Will provide reliable and accurate analysis to reinvest in the most profitable commercial activities for the Trade Spend and the A&P on the Off Trade and the On Trade channel. This role will focus on analyzing the investment activities in the planning stage and in the post-mortem execution, always searching for the Return On Investment, TS rate and GM%.


  • Will fuel the investment needs to always protect the brands margin and be the guardian of the Trade Spend and A&P for customers and channels. Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Director, will be a key member of the finance team and will drive the difficult conversations between the SP&A and the commercial and marketing teams.


  • The M&E Specialist is encouraged to partner closely with the functional team leaders on initiatives to ensure that the investments are made in the most profitable way. The candidate should be able to challenge the business and initiatives passionate about the financial targets.


KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Financial Director / No team leader / Works collaboratively with other teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is responsible for the investment measurements, as a Pre M&E and Post M&E for the A&P and TS on the Off Trade and On Trade channels.
  • The M&E Supervisor must understand the business and drive the conversations into profitability and return on investment.
  • Helps to achieve the financial business's objectives, the accurate use of financial investments that continues the trajectory of improved gross margins.
  • Provide reliable and accurate information to all the Exec, Commercial, Marketing and SP&A teams for decision making.
  • To protect the company's investments always aligned to the M&E Global policy.
  • Develop Scorecards and available data for the Exec and Team Leaders.

  • Led the company to have profitable and accurate investments for each category.
  • Review and give guidelines on the Trade Spend, becoming be the financial business partner for the SP&A team.
  • Review and give guidelines on the commercial and non-commercial A&P, becoming the financial business partner for the Shopper and Marketing Media teams.
  • Present and complete each Q, the outcomes analyzed from the Pre M&E and Post M&E by giving the correct guidelines and challenges for the marketing and commercial teams.
  • Be part of the construction of the AOP, by giving important input regarding Trade Spend and A&P.
  • Implement and fulfill the M&E Global Policy, so the investment is clearly measured and driven.
  • Build the M&E on Mexico, as the standard process for the LAC region, by crafting scorecards and available information for the organization.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 8 years of financial experience. Previous knowledge of commercial finance and P&L behavior.
  • Sophisticated knowledge on the P&L Topline and how to influence to drive gross margins and trade spend rates. Investment experience in a similar finance role.
  • Studies in finance and/or related fields.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate has experience on working independently and be able to build and analyze sophisticated data without day-by-day supervision.
