About You:

You will work very closely with partners throughout the business to uphold Diageo's Breach Management Standard and ensure all allegations of wrongdoing are investigated promptly, thoroughly, fairly, and efficiently. Scope includes reinforcing policy and standards on the conduct of investigations, including ensuring alignment with regulatory and legal requirements and working closely with other Diageo Functions

About the Role:
  • Carries out a robust and effective independent investigation of security incidents and breaches of CoBC, in compliance with Breach Management Standard and conjunction with BI/HR.
  • Carries out activities to support investigations conducted by other members of the Security, BI, Legal and HR teams.
  • Delivering pro-active and fit-for-purpose investigations management, advice, and support all Diageo Category. Support the wider Corporate Security strategy in Supply through the communication of security policies, processes, and guidelines, all in a manner that will enable the achievement of the Ambition, including providing proactive solutions to enable the delivery of business objectives for the organization.
  • Conduct and coordinate time-sensitive, sophisticated investigations and partnering with trained case leaders and investigators in Diageo Supply.
  • Identifying, recommending, and where required, following up on corrective and preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provision of communication of policies, processes, and guidelines and provide training to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and legal practices for investigation activities.
  • Delivering a step change in investigative standards across Diageo and working proactively and collaboratively with senior partners.
  • Build and maintain an effective network of trained contacts in Diageo to ensure investigations are effective and timely and build and keep close effective contacts in relevant law enforcement, regulatory, and industry bodies.
  • Embedding excellent governance, effective compliance, and risk management across Diageo Supply and market investigation teams, including leading issues to mitigate impact and risk by guiding resolution of issues and proactively crafting an environment where reputational risk and other risks are avoided.
Experience Required:
  • Excellent organizational skills, diligence, ability to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communicator able to develop strong cross-functional and collaborative working relationships
  • Good understanding of accounting fundamentals, such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgets, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and Spanish
  • Strong supervisory skills and the ability to lead a diverse group of employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Self-confidence and a strong personality and integrity.
  • Ability to stay focused by constantly reassessing priorities and handling expectations within the business.
  • Flexible to travel. The need to be fully mobile and available on a 24-hour on-call basis, to respond to crises.
  • Ability to constantly prioritize and handle expectations from a large and fast-paced business.
  • Ability to act confidentially and discreetly.
  • In-depth knowledge of security issues is certainly acquired from several years of experience in a law enforcement agency, armed forces, or security industry. Knowledge of interaction between company and law enforcement agencies in kidnap/extortion and crisis management cases.
