The Global Process Lead (GPL for Order to Invoice) will play a key role in this transformation, passionate about deploying standardised processes within Sell Product.

Reporting to the Global Process Lead (GPL) for Product, they will have strategic and dynamic thinking, daring leadership & decision making, and all this grounded in strong end-to-end commercial experience.

This role requires Order Management and Fulfilment experience, working in different market archetypes. Ideal commercial experience as follows:

Customer Segmentation and Process Design: Developed market archetypes and customer segments, and design of processes to address specific archetypes and segments, in alignment with company objectives.

Customer Relationship Management: Built and maintained positive relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners. Collaborated with sales teams to understand customer needs and provided solutions that drove customer happiness and dedication

Order Management and Fulfilment: Crafted implemented and operated Order Management and Fulfilment processes, including experience unsophisticated inventory allocation and order prioritization.

E-Invoicing: Knowledge and experience implementing e-Invoicing processes, systems, and controls across a global landscape spanning the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborated with supply chain and operations teams to optimize supply chain processes, minimize costs, and ensure product availability to meet customer demand.

Financial Management: Oversaw budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis for commercial investments. Drove cost optimization initiatives and ensured effective prioritisation to improve ROI.

Team Leadership and Development: Coached and developed team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Cross-Functional Teamwork: Worked closely with other functional leaders, including marketing, finance, and operations, to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives and ensure seamless execution.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensured compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Identified and mitigated commercial risks to protect the business and its collaborators.

This role has four main responsibilities:

Being the Global Process Lead for end-to-end Order-to-Invoice processes, systems, policy and controls, across processes including Order Entry, Order Validation, Inventory Allocation, Customer Service, Supply Chain Coordination, Order Block Management, Order Exception & Rejection Management for EDI and non-EDI orders High Level and Detailed Definition of customer, market and route-to-market archetypes to ensure end-to-end process alignment and performance standardization to nuances of the markets and customers. Driving Process Improvement-Standardization-Automation within Sell Product (Commercial) function Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and multi-geography teams to develop, maintain and manage change to process definitions, controls, policy and other process assets.

Order-to-Invoice Global Process Lead: Owns the e2e process of converting strategy into action with our brands, channels, and customers to create joint value and grow the category. This role has responsibility to ensure that there is a well-defined global process for commercial planning including all underlying processes, data points, KPIs, controls and capabilities.

Process Improvement: This role has responsibility for the improvement, standardization, process performance improvement and digital transformation of Order-to-Invoice processes within the Sell Product (Commercial) process Taxonomy including Order Intake, Order Entry, Order Allocation and Fulfilment, Customer Service, Invoice generation and Invoice Distribution processes.

This role partners with various collaborators, including GPOs, in-market commercial, other Sell Product GPLs, and operational teams to drive actual Sell Product (Commercial) global process, process improvements, and governance.

This role will require understanding of Diageo commercial processes, systems and tools, and financial data across all markets and functions. Also, crucial to have a good knowledge of finance, marketing and supply chain processes across Diageo.

This role will directly support the Sell Product Global Process Executive, Sell Product Global Process Owner, and cross functional GPOs. The person in the role will work together with other Global Process Leads, in- market leaders with Commercial, Finance, and Revenue Category Growth.

This role works very closely together with Voyager Project and leads the GBO Leapfrog project, along with the key responses. This role has dedicated leadership responsibility around Sell Product (SP) as follows:ability to define the future Sell Product Processes in line with new GPO model principles.

  • Setting and handling the strategic agenda of SP
  • Aligning organization behind strategic objectives of SP
  • Changing behaviour and defining must have capabilities, skills for SP and the extended GPO model


Lead the Global Commercial transformation agenda in support of achieving 5 year ambition - to be the best performing and most trusted commercial team in the world. Ensure that there is a well-defined global process for Product planning and measurement/ evaluation including all underlying processes, data points, KPIs, controls and capabilities.

The role has the responsibility also to drive improvement, standardisation and simplification of the commercial processes. To conduct global review of end-to-end processes based on the priorities set by the Global Process Owner. This includes detailed process review, gap analysis, proposal, documentation, controls, KPIs and delivery of solutions in collaboration of various teams in the Commercial organisation.

Defining, establishing, and embedding standard global Product (Commercial) Processes. Establish governance/ advisory model with L1 Process Council, Advisory network(s) and assignment of SMEs Define, maintain, and communicate Global Process Framework(s), Process Flow Charts, KPIs, training materials and related documentation re the assigned Sell Product Process(es) - PROCESS BLUEPRINT Consult into transform projects to create and define the standard Sell Product processes, close agreement with project Leapfrog & Voyager Create and present proposal for the Sell Product Process Stereo (plan - analyse - design - build - embed) Actively work together with all GPOs (Finance//Move/IBP) and lead/support the creation and embedment of Trade Promotion Management

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Deep Understanding of commercial processes
  • 15+ years of commercial (Sales Ops, RGM, Order Management, Supply Chain Management, Key Account Management, and/or Customer Service) experience ideally in an FMCG environment combined with SAP, S/4 and O2I SaaS Products.
  • Ability to encourage teams through sophisticated influencing skills and senior collaborator management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate efficiently and nurture strong relationships cross functional/ cultural/ regional teams with in a fast-moving sophisticated environment
  • Be externally curious to anticipate trends, and embrace quickly
  • Ability to deep dive in specific topics as well as think on strategic level
  • Proven change management and project management skills
  • Process improvement and standardization experience is essential
  • Ability to design, document new processes and define effective roll-out and embedment/ adoption while acting decisively
