About this role:

This role sits within our Consumer Digital Transformation team whose ambition is to transform Diageo into a digital-first organization, enabling our brands to engage directly with consumers like never before. Our vision is to win in the next generation celebration, engaging and delighting our consumers with world-class leading experiences across every physical and digital touchpoint.

You will be responsible for:
  • Leadership & guardianship over excellence, innovation and governance within Paid Media & Commerce/Retail Media, including strategy, investment profile and operating model.
  • Ownership of Paid & Commerce Media best practice principles and how media integrates with, and influences, other fields of next generation reach to ensure we form one connected consumer experience, leading change to enable effective integration
  • Ownership of driving multi-million dollar re-investable efficiencies to support our total transformation program
  • Ownership of global partners (JBPs) and other cross-market programmes to drive strategic and commercial benefit to all markets
  • Ownership of our biddable transformation workstream partnering with markets, agency and other external partners to move all markets towards excellence in this critical channel
  • Day to Day leadership of Diageo's Progressive Media program focused on supporting markets in investing in diverse and inclusive media partners.
  • Day to Day management of our global media agency relationship incl. annual planning and implementation strategy, alongside deep partnership with Diageo's Demand Procurement team.
  • Leadership of team of Paid Media & Retail Media specialists focused on delivering excellence, innovation and governance in communications and commerce media.
  • Building effective and trusted partnerships with key market and Global Brand team partners in order to deliver Diageo's Consumer Digital transformation.


To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A strategic leader, able to turn strategy into action, and stay focused on delivery of plan.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and several years of experience in media, ideally with a combination of both in-house and agency experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to communicate complex information in a simple, straight-forward, persuasive way.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously, while being extremely meticulous
  • Ability to influence, persuade and lead broader teams, cross-functionally
  • Ability to confidently present plans and ideas, often to a senior audience
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly changing environment
