About the role

Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a cornerstone in the supply chain and finance realms. It's not just about aligning departments; it's about driving the success of the entire organization. By integrating demand planning into IBP processes, you ensure seamless coordination across functions, leading to improved forecasting accuracy, optimized inventory management, improved customer satisfaction and ultimately, enhanced financial performance.

The Demand Planning & IBP Lead assumes responsibility for overseeing depletion and shipment forecasting activities within Eastern Europe. The lead will utilize statistical models to create baseline forecasts, ensure data integrity, and lead a collaborative Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process involving internal stakeholders and external partners.

Role Responsibilities

TOP ACCOUNTABILITIES

Baseline Statistical Demand Forecasting:
  • Utilize and maintain APO software as the primary forecasting tool to generate a rolling 18-month baseline statistical demand forecast.
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, finance, and external partners to clean forecast history, document adjustments and assumptions, and maintain statistical parameters for the "best fit" model.
  • Continuously improve statistical forecasting methods by testing and implementing new models, implementing standard processes, and supporting system developments.
  • Maintain APO master data, including Characteristic Value Chain (CVC) creation, disaggregation factors, and attributes.


Lead S&OP Process:
  • Lead the Pre-Demand Review step of the S&OP process with Marketing, Supply, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Facilitate the delivery of inputs to the S&OP process to ensure quality inputs are received.
  • Challenge Opportunities & Risks (O&R) projected growth assumptions based on historical trends and drive demand and supply integration to align with One plan.


Generation of Consensus Demand Plan:
  • Analyze and manage volume assumptions considering internal and external factors.
  • Communicate critical forecast changes to stakeholders in the Supply Chain, Sales, Finance teams.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Managers to conduct root cause analysis to identify drivers of forecast error and take corrective action for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the generation, alignment, and consensus of the 18-month rolling demand plan on Stock Keeping Unit/depot level monthly buckets to support the S&OP process.

ABOUT YOU

Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities
  • Degree or equivalent in supply chain, mathematical, engineering, or business degree.
  • English language --advanced
  • 4+ years Supply Chain planning experience (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning), including significant experience managing S&OP process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and/or forecasting methodologies with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills
  • Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, SAP BW, Power BI,
  • Strong influencing and partner engagement skills; able to manage multiply partners across functions and geographies.
  • Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.
  • Experience in SAP APO will be highly valued
  • Finance roles would also be considered.
  • Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply.
  • Prior experience leading and embedding S&OP standard methodology ways of working
