Diageo's Analytics & Insights team is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing analytics products to drive our competitive advantage and enable empirically based decisions.

As part of the Analytics & Insight team, you will play a role for continuing to advance the sophistication of the power of analytics throughout Diageo. You will serve as an evangelist for the power of data and develop analytics products to enable decisions at Diageo. You will become an invaluable partner to your stakeholders, help catalyse their thinking about what's possible, identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to drive top line growth, personalised consumer experiences and optimises business processes.

Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders
  • Be a great business partner to the Analytics & Insights Leadership team and their direct reports, stakeholders of Diageo markets or global functions - through building great relationships, supporting and challenging with skill & holding leaders to account for full delivery. Openness and integrity are a must.
  • Influencing skills are critical as this role must work with existing teams and external resources and must be able to influence at all levels of the business from Analysts to CFO.
  • Ability to generate ideas, driving decisions through dynamic analysis, often requiring creativity to find a solution around a business issue; ability to think in the future and anticipate trends and opportunities and position against this to deliver future value.
  • Lead and educate the Data/Analytics/Insights team from a functional perspective and demonstrate exceptional leadership around the Diageo values and behaviours.


Purpose of Role
  • Lead and manage regional data, analytics & insights Customer Product team.
  • Accountable for the delivery and sustainability of regional Customer related descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive products to support better, faster decisions.
  • Enable democratization of analytics self-service ecosystem
  • Own the regional data product strategy, direction/vision, and roadmap for Customer in partnership with business owner and stakeholders.
  • Drive value-based prioritisation by assessing the business impact of different data product solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements and costs.
  • Drive and measure utilisation and adoption of data products with region.


Top 3-5 Accountabilities
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to understand regional priorities, opportunities & challenges and develop appropriate data analytics, models, reporting and visualization solutions to address them.
  • Develop an analytics product feature and release roadmap based on business strategies, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of business and end user needs.
  • Implement and evolve best in class approach to reporting & data enablement through a robust and consistent improvement process.
  • Collaborate with technical partners that help facilitate strategic objectives and drive business plans, road maps, and requirements.
  • Drive usage of regional data products within specific functions and effectively communicate value drops to stakeholders and potential users.


Qualifications and Experience Required
  • 10+ experience in Data/Analytics'
  • Master's degree (M.A., M.S., or MBA) in information technology, computer science, economics, statistics, engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise data analytics, reporting, and data products within a CPG.
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional, highly analytical, and technical teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Experience with advanced analytic techniques, such as factor analysis, predictive modelling, logistic regression, cluster analysis, segmentation, attitudinal/motivational analysis, concept/copy testing, sales forecasting, response prediction, advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, marketing mix and ROI measurement
  • 3+ years of relevant product or program management experience in B2B wholesale distribution, e-commerce, finance, retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven history of delivering results
