About the Role

The Commercial Systems Product Owner will oversee the development and management of our company's commercial systems. Responsibilities include deploying, adopting, and continuously improving these systems to help us achieve our goal in driving making our commercial team the most effective commercial organisation. This role requires working with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities, optimize operations, and align commercial systems with business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in product management, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of commercial processes.

Role Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy:
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for commercial systems.
  • Ensure the product aligns with the company's overall business goals and market needs.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key deliverables and timelines.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with stakeholders including commercial, marketing and finance to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Work with Global & IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and technical support for commercial systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all commercial system-related inquiries.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders on product goals and priorities.

Product Development:
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and launch new features and improvements.
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Ensure that all product changes are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before release.

Market Analysis and Research:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions about product features and improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of commercial systems.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.

User Experience and Training:
  • Ensure the commercial systems provide an intuitive and efficient user experience.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for internal users.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for system users.


Role Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably with a focus on commercial systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes and systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, sales automation tools).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, with PowerBI as a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure Dev Ops, Jira).
