The Senior Quality Engineer will work along side both business and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services and systems. This role will contribute to the overall organization by working to create quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance. Your work will contribute to the team's overall strategic plan to maintain and improve production quality and processes.

Responsibilities:
- Reviews requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
- Executes test cases and / or automation scripts. Identifies and documents defects thoroughly.
- Creates and maintains automation scripts
- Applies test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile)
- Collaborates with internal teams (i.e. developers, product managers, administrators) to understand and solidify requirements
- Investigates the causes of routine defects and implements new processes and/or solutions (i.e. software upgrade)
- Installs, configures and maintains testing programs
- Analyzes quality assurance metrics and creates test summary reports
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software automation testing with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Strong experience in software test automation (functional and/or performance), with advanced expertise in Java, Selenium, Web Driver I/O and Web.
- Solid knowledge of QA principles, concepts, industry standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
- Extensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
