The Instructional Designer uses their knowledge of adult learning principles to develop high-quality, high-impact learning content in support of enterprise initiatives. They work effectively with key stakeholders across multiple levels to identify training needs and to design and develop learning programs.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops content across the full range of enterprise learning and development programs including new hire onboarding, career development, talent programs, management and leadership development and key organizational capabilities and tools.
- Conducts needs analysis for learning & development on various business topics.
- Develops learning content through independent research and through partnership with internal subject matter experts.
- Designs and develops live (ILT) and virtual (VILT) instructor-led course materials including slide decks, facilitator guides, and activity sheets.
- Designs and develops interactive eLearning (WBT) content and curricula.
- Manages stakeholders and subject matter experts in the content development process, ensuring alignment, engagement, and expectation management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in the training field including technical writing or instructional design.
- Working knowledge of current eLearning instructional design tools including the Articulate 360 suite is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles to the design of training content.
- Solid working knowledge of the ADDIE instructional systems design methodology.
- Ability to extract knowledge from Subject Matters Experts and design for engaging learning experience.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to maintain customer-first focus on high priority, high sensitivity issues.
- Ability to be an effective partner for stakeholders and sponsors across all levels of the enterprise.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $55,000 - $116,900
