Work You'll Do
As a Tax Processor you play a critical role in helping to deliver tax documents and client work product to our customers to meet tax filing and other business deadlines. You work closely with our tax professionals to ensure a quality product is delivered including effectively processing and assembling tax returns and preparing hard copy and electronic deliverables. As this work can be seasonal, you also work with the operations team to help provide a full-range of other business services in support of our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests that align with and play to your strengths in customer support.

As a Senior Tax Processor at Deloitte your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a primary customer interface by assessing needs, securing all necessary details, negotiating deadlines, assigning appropriately (as needed/if applicable) and communicating with customers to manage expectations
- Providing leadership, guidanceand training to junior Tax Processors (if exists in office) and other team members who assist in the preparation of deliverables
- Ensuring excellent working knowledge of department service offerings through critical thinking and anticipating needs to support quality deliverables and for effective management of critical time-periods and high work volume
- Relationship building and management by fostering and building positive relationships with the team, customers and leadership, to ensure appropriate planning for incoming work; integration of new tax groups and team members; and the education on tax processing for new hires
- Ensuring quality work product through effective execution of established guidelines and procedures; reviewing work product for quality, accuracy, and alignment with customer request
The Operations Team
At Deloitte, the internal operations team (known as "One Team") provides a full-range of hospitality and business services. We help our Deloitte professionals with daily office support needs, meeting and event planning and execution, and an array of other services related to office operations and facility management. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric "experience" for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests.
What You'll Need
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of related office support experience in a service-oriented or customer-centric environment
- Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
- Availability to work overtime and weekends during peak tax filing periods
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
What's Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Corporate background with focus on tax processing
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Jersey City, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Jersey City, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,100 to $83,500.
