Work you'll do

The Senior Continuity & Emergency Management Planner will be responsible for daily task order management of the Client's continuity of operations (COOP) and emergency management planning task. Provide support during Client's mandatory participation in the annual continuity exercise and deliver professional exercise planning and facilitation. Review plans, standard operating procedures or other supporting documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulation, standards, and guidance. Train an Occupant Emergency Team (OET) to manage emergency preparedness and coordinate a response in the event of an emergency. As appropriate, assist with activation and coordination of the actions of the OET during and after an emergency event. Attend intra- and interagency working groups on COOP to ensure the Client is well represented and informed on COOP issues affecting them. Manage one Consultant in execution of all task deliverables, invoicing, and client relationship management.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
  • Must be local to the Washington DC area and able to come on site in Washington DC.
  • 4+ years of emergency management experience.
  • 4+ years of Federal Continuity of Operations experience.
  • 4+ years of emergency Training and crisis exercise experience
  • PMP Certification

Preferred:

  • Previous consulting experience
  • CBCP or ABCP certification

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,658 to $207,763.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
