Work you'll do

The Testing & Production Support Manager will be responsible for leading the testing and production support teams in ensuring the quality and reliability of the finance systems. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and the implementation of best practices in testing methodologies specific to financial applications. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders to execute testing of fixes and / or new capabilities, communicate findings, and manage incident tracking to resolution. You will work in a highly visible environment in close relationships with technical experts and end-users.

  • Define and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for financial applications.
  • Oversee the execution of manual tests, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results, defects, and issues.
  • Manage the defects identified in testing through the defect life cycle working with the appropriate application teams.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards and processes specific to financial systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing practices and processes.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
  • Work closely with finance, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing aligns with business objectives.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers, including performance evaluations, career development, and training.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies and processes tailored to financial systems.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience in agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models and testing leading practices to support these.
  • Excellent leadership, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills to establish rapport, trust, and confidence with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborative and team across Finance Systems, other Finance areas and Technology
  • Ability to work and achieve results in a fast-paced, virtual team environment (across multiple time zones).

The team

Finance Systems serves as US finance application portfolio subject matter experts, to implement and manage innovative solutions and changes through governance and change management to meet the technology needs of finance and the US firm.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Limited sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with financial systems and applications (e.g., ERP, trading platforms, accounting software).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Hands-on testing experience.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Jersey City, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York state, Washington State and Washington D.C., Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Jersey City, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York state, Washington state and Washington D.C. and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $171,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
