Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in Los Angeles, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing applications covering application configuration, integration, implementation management for Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Personal Lines Applications using Gosu, Guidewire, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, Oracle SQL Server, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and Appian Robotic Process Automation (RPA);
  • Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions using Agile Scrum, Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and AWS Cloud methodologies across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures;
  • Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment, utilizing Guidewire, Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) Continuous Development (CD), Cloudbees, AutoSys, AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch, WinSCP, and Rally;
  • Performing systems development life cycle (SDLC), software development in Waterfall, and Agile Scrum development environments and web service automation testing solutions using Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface (SoapUI), Postman, Karate Application Programming Interface (API), Selenium, GUnit, and JUnit frameworks;
  • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development utilizing GitHub, TortoiseGit, BitBucket, Apache Subversion (SVN), and SonarQube;
  • Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing Microsoft (MS) Office, Rally, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies; and
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data and process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Guidewire Advance Product Designer (APD), Aha! Roadmaps, MS Visio and Excel VBA, and Tableau.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
Annual Salary: $126,942.00 - $208,250.00.
