As an audit analytics senior assistant specialist, you will use a suite of analytics tools to develop and execute analytics solutions that support audit engagement objectives, across all stages of an audit, and to deliver meaningful insights to the audit team and the client.   • Build and execute data analytics to support audit objectives using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modelling tools and technologies to produce analysis throughout the audit process
  • Search and mine large data sets to discover meaningful patterns, trends and relationships to identify success measures and analysis while utilizing technologies such as Databricks, Python, SAS, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Visual Basic and others
  • Utilize structured and unstructured data sources
  • Transform and load data into various analytic tools
  • Support the development of standardized industry-focused dashboards
  • Present recommendations to the audit team(s) to enable critical decision making.
  • Collaborate with individual audit engagement teams, leadership, and client personnel to develop and deploy audit services to clients
  • Leverage advanced technology and leading practices specific to audit analytics and data visualization to drive strategic benefits in the areas of audit quality, efficiency, and value
  • Prepare audit documentation of data analytics and dashboards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience, including experience in data analysis, logical structuring and/or problem solving.
  • Familiarity with analytical software packages/tools/languages (e.g., Databricks, Python, SAS, R, SQL, Visual Basic) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and experiencing applying such tools to solve complex analytics problems.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in one of the following:
  • Accounting or related degree with a concentration in Business Analytics or Data Analytics
  • Technology related degree such as Management Information Systems, Statistics, Math, Economics, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Computer Engineering, Decision Sciences and/or Data Sciences.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $64,160 - $107,760.
