Position Summary

Are you looking to capitalize on your finance skills? Our Corporate Finance practice operates through Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC* (DCF), a registered broker dealer. We offer sophisticated investment banking services to companies of various sizes -large corporations pursuing middle-market deals and mid-sized companies engaged in "life event" transactions. We are seeking investment banking professionals to successfully support and complete domestic and international merger and acquisition transactions.

Work you'll do

As an expert in corporate finance in the Financial Services Group (FSG), you will advise clients on a variety of matters:

  • Advise Private Equity firms, strategic and financial buyers on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
  • Provide objective advice to assist a wide range of public, private and institutional borrowers across the full spectrum of capital markets
  • Become an expert in strategic advice on optimizing capital structure, analysis of capital market alternatives and available sources of finance, and execution of multi-faceted balance sheet restructurings and financing plans
  • Advise on a variety of corporate development strategic options, including M&A and IPO advisory support, prioritizing shareholder objectives, enhancing corporate finance capabilities, and understanding current market valuation and paths to potential liquidity
  • Advise sellers on the sale or divestiture of all or part of a business

Deloitte Corporate Finance LCC is a leading middle-market investment bank headquartered in Charlotte with offices in New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles. The firm advises on a variety of transactions for private equity groups and public and private corporations, including mergers and acquisitions and the raising of private capital. Deloitte Corporate Finance serves all major sectors out of Business and Financial Services, Consumer and Retail, Energy & Resources, General Industrials, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Technology, Media, & Telecom industry groups.

Our Corporate Finance team assists clients with financial and strategic advisory to include sellside and buyside M&A, capital raising, and evaluation of corporate finance alternatives including Employee Stock Ownership Plans ("ESOPs"). Learn more about our Corporate Finance practice.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of investment banking, with particular focus on Private Equity and Private Debt Capital markets
  • Private equity and private debt experience
  • Ability to travel 40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or JD
  • Middle-market investment banking experience
