Vice President, Chronic Special Needs Plans
Description
The Vice President of Chronic Special Needs Plans will join Integrated Kidney Care (IKC), which is DaVita's Value-Based Care business. They will be responsible for the growth of the Chronic Condition Special Needs Plan (C-SNP) Programs for CKD & ESKD patients, which includes operational growth efforts as well as product design (benefits, network, etc.). DaVita IKC is the largest provider of delegated risk in the ESKD C-SNP space. Kidney disease C-SNPs will also be expanding to include CKD in 2026. We are looking for a leader who can span strategy and operations and is passionate about transforming healthcare through value-based care. Driving growth of these plans is a highly cross-functional effort and this individual will need to bring horsepower to mobilize many teams across the organization and hold each accountable. We are seeking an individual with Medicare Advantage experience and proven operational results. There is a need to build and implement new processes to support this capability and this leader will need the grit, entrepreneurial spirit, and operational know-how to drive work forward quickly.

Location: Denver strongly preferred, remote okay with regular travel to Denver office
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Set strategic direction for C-SNP Growth efforts and have accountability for day-to-day management and operations.
- Determine most important KPIs (across growth, MLR/profitability, quality), set goals, identify and root-cause performance gaps, and develop strategic and operational plans to address
- Drive product strategy, including plan design, benefits, and target patient segments, in partnership with payors
- Inform recommendations on markets / payor partnerships to enter / exit based on projected financials, relationships, and market dynamics, and oversee program launches and sunsets
- Develop and test innovative ideas for how to compliantly increase members on existing C-SNP plans through effective enrollment strategies and stakeholder management
- Optimize member experience through clinical care, use of benefits, and issue resolution
- Be the subject matter expert within DaVita on all things C-SNPs, including industry trends, competitive landscape, policy and regulatory changes, etc.
- Lead and develop a direct team focused on C-SNP strategy and growth, as well as guide a large cross-functional team that includes IKC Managed Care Operations, Dialysis Operations, Payor partners, Claims Analytics & Actuarial, Quality, Business Development, and Legal & Compliance.

- 20% travel
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare strategy or operations; track record of strong execution and results at scale
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Strong knowledge base of current healthcare payment and delivery structures encompassing Medicare Advantage, value-based care, managed care, and risk-based contracting
- Proven ability to identify and define business problems and issues and develop strategic and financial frameworks
- Powerful communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to influence and impact results at all levels internally and externally
- Be hypothesis and insights-driven, strong nose for value and a bias towards action
- Excel at facilitating complex conversations to drive to prioritization, actions, and results
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility in a matrixed organization
- Proven experience recruiting, developing and leading high-performing teams
