We are seeking a Senior Director of Epic Product and Applications to join our team. Our mission is to tackle healthcare's most pressing challenges by creating a digital platform that engages and empowers users.

In this role, you will define the vision and strategy for multiple Epic applications, executing your product vision for diverse user groups. You will lead a team of Product Managers, driving innovation and excellence in our product offerings.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Epic Product leader with a proven track record in relationship building, a strong bias toward action, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You should be passionate about transforming complex problems into product solutions alongside engineering and design teams. Additionally, we are looking for someone with significant experience in growing and inspiring high-performing product teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following reflect key responsibilities for this role but are not exhaustive:
  • Overseeing all Epic Application teams, Epic Application teams including Ambulatory, Professional Billing, Claims, Cadence, Prelude, MyChart, Haiku, Canto, EpicCare Link, and Reporting. This includes support, enhancements, and implementations, with a focus on long term product management.
  • Define the long-term vision for Epic applications across the organization, including system upgrades, new module implementations, and integration with other healthcare systems.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Epic product roadmap aligned with business goals and clinical priorities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation within the Epic platform.
  • Lead large-scale Epic implementation projects, including project planning, resource allocation, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the implementation process.
  • Manage complex system configurations and customizations to meet specific clinical workflows and organizational requirements.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of Epic analysts, project managers, trainers, and technical specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture focused on continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on complex technical issues and best practices.
  • Ensure Epic systems adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
  • Monitor system security and data integrity to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are required to fulfill the essential duties:
  • At least 3 Epic certifications, one of which should be EpicCare Ambulatory or Resolute Professional Billing
  • Ideally former Epic employee
  • Cumulative experience as an Epic analyst for at least 5 years
  • Worked with at least one, ideally multiple major health systems or physician groups
  • Has directly managed multiple teams and budgets
  • Certifications in project management, clinical work, Agile, MBA are nice to have
  • Expected salary would be $160k-$190k + $28k Bonus (or whatever is the standard bonus for Sr Directors)
  • Experience implementing Epic is nice to have
  • Remote, with expected travel 1 time per month
  • Total experience in Healthcare technology, primarily Epic for at least 10 years
  • Experience hiring, inspiring, and growing a team of high performing product managers
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organization, communication skills
  • Inspire those around you to care about and understand the "why" behind a solution
  • Experience leading product vision, strategy, outcomes, key results and value rationalization across multiple product platforms and/or multiple product focus areas
  • Experience aligning a product team and team roadmaps to execute on a product strategy and advance product vision. Proven track record of building exceptional products
  • Has led Product Managers across multiple platforms and/or multiple product focus areas
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to communicate to and influence VP level and above
  • Product evangelist and product mentor for others. Leader and driver of team culture and inspiring product team
  • Experience building health tech products

Salary/ Wage Range
$55,000.00 - $100,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
