Job Description

DaVita is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant (Patient Care Tech/Administrative duties) for our Home Program office in Great Neck, NY!

A Dialysis Certification (CCHT) is required for this role!

Some details about this position:
  • Hemodialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis experience required
  • Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
  • Potential to float to various clinics in Nassau/LI during and after your training
  • Flexible Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule. No Weekends!
What you can expect:
  • Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Taking vitals, phlebotomy.
  • Our PCTs care for multiple patients.
  • Administrative and Office Management tasks including but not limited to charting, scheduling assisting in audits and following up with patients, coworkers and providers via phone/email.

Requirements:
  • Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
  • Comfortable with Administrative/Organizational/Office Tasks
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Phlebotomy certification highly preferred
  • Dialysis certification (CCHT) REQUIRED

Salary/ Wage Range
$24.00 - $37.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
